great skills and ability.
In a farther distance, traces of his travel in Corea can be identified. He discovered this Asian country for the first time in 2007. Tue artist’s works were chosen to represent Switzerland in an exhibition of watercolorists from all over the world. Watercolor is the mean of expression with which he communicates all his talent and sensitivity, as he explains it :
“Watercolor is definitely in the centre of my practice. Through the transparency it imposes and through the way it constrains the one working with it to organise his chromatic values, it permits more than any other technique, to apprehend the phenomenon of visual perception, which analyses, - more than the description of a supposed reality of spots and things -, is the subject of these few pieces.
The introduction of small formats permits, the moreover, to transpose fugitive moments, landscapes seen quickly through the window of a train or other precarious renderings in geographic or temporal distances. Rolle, August 2009”.
